鈥淲e are thrilled to partner with 91影视 Christian University for this聽blood聽drive. The dedication of 91影视’s students, faculty, and staff to donating聽blood聽plays a crucial role in our community. Our goal is to ensure a steady supply of聽blood聽for patients in need, and聽blood聽drives like this are vital in making that possible,鈥 said Palmer.

She emphasized the Center鈥檚 need for donors during the summer months when donations tend to decrease.

鈥淒onations are particularly important during the summer months when聽blood聽supplies often dwindle due to schools being out, people traveling, and irregular schedules. By donating聽blood, you are directly contributing to saving lives in our community.鈥

According to the Center, about 1,000 donations are needed every day to help save lives in the Texas Gulf Coast region.

Denisse Roman, an Administrative Analyst in the Linda Dunham School of Nursing at 91影视, understands the need and rolled up her sleeve to take part in this year鈥檚 drive.

鈥淭his was my second time ever donating red blood cells and plasma. The staff on site were so nice and ready to answer any questions. Even with the heat, there were zero complaints from anyone on that bus. My favorite part though has always been running into coworkers or other students – nursing students really showed up this go around,鈥 said Roman.

Leonard Leynes, a phlebotomist and mobile blood drive trainer, has worked for the for the past 2 陆 years and values the opportunity to work in a job that allows him to make a difference.聽He 聽and members of the mobile blood drive team welcomed individuals who came to donate blood, whether first time or returning donors.
